Taking a break

I didn't get a post up at my normal time this week because I was out exploring Italy. It wasn't tea, instead it was an Italian tape lace (Milanese to be specific). Tape laces use a small number of bobbins to make a long, winding pattern. You can put different designs in the tape depending on how you weave the threads together. I've been intending to get a book, and learn this style of lace for the last few years, but taking a class is way easier. The teacher was great, and the instructions and feedback were very helpful. So, enjoy a little piece of Italy, and I'll be back with more tea next week.

Sssssee you next week.

    1. Thanks. I'm looking forward to getting it done. this is a fun style of lace to make. It's definitely more interesting than some tape laces.
