Blooming tea 7

Which one to choose, oh, which one to choose? I've bloomed half of these now. Given last week's disappointment of the canopy that flopped over on its side, I decided to choose one with a more vertical presentation this week. I chose the strawberry one. I opened the package to smell the worst fake strawberry ever. It smells like the strawberry candy a kid would stop and think twice before eating. A kid would still eat a hypothetical candy that smelled like this of course, because it was candy after all. However, I'm an adult now, and there are certain things that I would just pass up. I thought that the top of this one looked intriguing with its little bits of red poking out. As I watched it unfurl, I got the bright idea of taping it on my phone. I turned everything off to give a silent background... until the timer on the microwave went off. It was to tell me that the tea I was planning on drinking was finished steeping. In the end, it didn't matter because I disco

Ugh, my allergies have been going crazy the last few days. I took a hard look around the house, and banished the lavender plant to the outdoors and turned on all my air filters to see if things get better. Yesterday a friend dropped by and brought me some flowers. A lavendar plant and some roses. It seemed only appropriate that I sample a rose tea in honor of those flowers. This tea was a sample from the box of disappointing tea I ordered over the winter. I had actually debated buying a bag of it, but I decided to get the chocolate teas instead. At least I got a sample of a tea I was curious about to try. Given the bad luck I had had with other new tea flavors, I approached the bag with a bit of trepedation. I opened it and smelled... grapefruit. So far, so good. It is a pretty tea with with bits of flowers mixed with sencha. No strange smells emerged when I brewed a pot of tea. It's a pleasant green tea with a hint of grapefruit flavor. Darn, I should have boughten a bag of this instead. Oh well. Many agree that 2022 is possibly the biggest poop show yet of the last 3 years, and my first tea order of the year showed me just how bad/disappointing the year would be. Hopefully t
