A change of venue

It happened! I bought the condo.
Even better, it is a partially furnished condo, and the furniture here is way better than what I had before. A couple of the cushions in the middle section of the sectional are a bit softer than the others. Someday I might measure them and possibly get some new foam to put inside of the cover. I could also fluff them up with a little batting. I bought myself a C table like I have always wanted. I have heard that they are good for bobbin lace pillows. As luck would have it, it was also the right size for my tea tray. I had originally intended to make tea in my new home after closing, and before the internet hookup guy came. Instead, I got here, discovered that I had the wrong key, and ended up texting the realtor who realized that she still had the key from the lock box. We arranged to meet up at 12:35 so I could get the right key, then internet hookup was at 1. A friend showed up with his trailer to move the 5 items that wouldn't fit in my car just as the internet hookup was finishing. Funny thing, that friend had never seen me wearing a dress or makeup, and I think it just about knocked his eyeballs out. Now I'm working on cleaning my new home in preparation for bringing the rest of my stuff over. Thankfully I have friends who are willing to help, and show me the ins and outs of owning a home. I definitely couldn't do this alone.

  1. I'm glad this is working out so well with you-- even if the start was chaotic! Here's to many happy years in your very own place.
